Pig Pickin’ & HRNA Board

Rain Doesn’t Dampen the Spirit: 2026 HRNA Pig Pickin’ Brings Neighbors Together

A little October rain was no match for the warmth and camaraderie of our Riverside neighborhood! On Saturday, October 16, neighbors gathered at the home of Charles and Mary Skinner on National Avenue for our annual HRNA Pig Pickin’.

Under pop-up tents and porch overhangs, residents swapped stories, welcomed new faces, and enjoyed a spread of slow-cooked barbecue along with all the classic fixin's. The weather kept everyone under cover, but it certainly didn't dampen the high spirits and strong sense of community.

Beyond the delicious food and festive atmosphere, the afternoon marked an important moment for our neighborhood's future as we conducted the 2027 HRNA Board Elections.
